Home lost and found

Home is a place for art. Art is being made at home, everyday miracles along the more traditional cultural products. This exhibition builds a home for art in the gallery. Art works interact in their new temporary home, creating new realities and thoughts. Public is welcome to this living-room of art, to sit down and to feel at home!

”Home” takes on an important and intimate theme. Home is a place, but also a feeling, something to own, but something that can be lost. A home can travel the world, move from one culture to another. How will the psychological home travel with the physical one? Home is also the people living in it, the community to feel part of.

The exhibition is the first group exhibition Helsinki International Artists’ Association (HIAA) holds in Helsinki. HIAA was established at the beginning of 2007. Its purpose is to create networks between foreign and local artists and to promote international artists in Finland. This group exhibition presents works from 14 member artists.
